This song was written in 2018 while we, Ana Hata and me, were helping a sister to get prepared for an intense and magical rite of passage which was called "Maiden Ceremony" as a celebration and blessing for her transition into womanhood.
So, this song is actually a soundtrack to accompany this kind of ceremony for a woman (classically performed at the time when she has started bleeding).

"The beginning (Maiden Song)" is designed to work as an "encourager", an energizer, a bowl full of good wishes: to step into your adult life filled up with that fierceness, to be, do and dream whatever you wish, because it is your life, and it is sacred, and it is yours to be celebrated, to be taken on completely. It is YOUR journey. So, be bold, spread your wings, and let no one rain on your parade <3

When you unfold and live your own special energy and personality to the fullest, then you actually honor life the most - at least that's what I think ;) ... <3 ... Do it, be it, go for it!! - That's what the song wants to tell you. And it is a calm acoustic song, that wants to touch and honour all of your aspects, especially the deep, female, gentle ones - that's why we recorded it in a rather smooth and steady manner (to support you to feel yourself and connect to your base) with a bit of a bigger expressiveness towards the end ... It's like "connect with all of your parts ... and then ... go FLY" :)

From a whole other perspectice, if you feel into the lyrics, the song can also work to remind you that every moment can be a new beginning: no matter, what has happened to you, no matter what you have gone through already: the magical feeling of "beginning" still dwells somewhere within your heart (no matter what gender): this song wants to help you to re-connect with your own inner freshness: you can always re-set youself, clear yourself from past experiences, re-assemble yourself and hit the ground running again!

Be yourself, embrace your being, and enjoy your wonderful and sacred life <3

Wie ist der Song „The beginning (Maiden Song)“ entstanden?

Bei der „Maiden Ceremony“ (Zeremonie für die erste Blutung) innerhalb unserer schamanischen Ausbildung hatten Ana Hata und ich (Uthana) die Rolle, unsere Schwester, für die die Zeremonie gedacht war, auf diese vorzubereiten. Während wir auf diese Aufgaben fokussiert waren, spielte ich auch ein wenig Gitarre, und dann floss dieses Lied aus mir heraus. Ich sang es einfach. Als ich den ersten Strophenteil gesungen hatte, sagte ich kurz zu Ana Hata: Jetzt sing Du. Und dann sang Ana Hata den 2. Teil: „Breathe deep and let your spirit rise“. Auch Ana Hata sang ihre Strophe einfach. Das Lied war im Moment seiner Entstehung bereits fertig und wird von uns bis heute genau so gesungen.

In der Aufnahme haben wir versucht, diesen Spirit einzufangen. Ich hoffe und wünsche mir, dass dieses Lied noch vielen Frauen dabei hilft, Lebensmut zu sammeln, ihre Energie positiv nach vorne auszurichten, zu sich zu stehen, ihr wunderschönes Potential frei zu entfalten, und ihrem ganz persönlichen Lebensgefühl voller Lust, Selbstsicherheit, Freude Ausdruck zu verleihen, jeden Tag.
